Ukrzaliznytsia IT specialists, with the support of partners, are working virtually around the clock to minimize the consequences of failures after restoring a system damaged by a massive cyberattack.

As reported by NBN with reference to the official Telegram profile of Ukrzaliznytsia, due to the increased load on the IT system, failures in the functioning of the mobile application and the online ticket sales website are likely to occur.

To help balance increased demand caused by a multi-day outage of online services, the national railway company has opened dozens of additional ticket offices in cities where the highest passenger traffic is recorded.

In particular, 27 railway ticket offices began operating in the capital: 25 “windows” at the Central Station and 2 additional ones at the Southern Station.

Also, the ticket offices in the city of Lviv have been expanded in the same way: now 10 ticket offices have been launched at the station.

In addition, station “angels” continue to work within the perimeter of the ticket halls, to whom passengers can turn for advice, for example, to promptly resolve issues related to purchasing/returning tickets or boarding the train on time.

Earlier, our information portal wrote that Naftogaz reported on the consequences of another Russian attack on the company's facilities.
