As reported by NBN with reference to the Telegram channel Media Center-Ukraine, the deputy chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council Denis Marchuk made a statement – taking into account the above-described rate of inflation and a number of factors directly influencing the formation of the cost of products, a decrease in prices on the eve of the Easter holidays, alas, should not be expected.
According to Marchuk, the above reasons form the cost price of the products, which then appear on store shelves at inflated retail prices. In addition, due to the ongoing war, the logistics chain has lost some of its components, so delivery “continues to remain quite expensive.”
Also, in the business sector, fuel costs are growing, and the same trend applies to salaries, since it is necessary to prevent the departure of the remaining personnel “under mobilization conditions,” which ultimately provokes an increase in the cost of production.
Marchuk summed up:
…We will not see a reduction in prices. Especially before the Easter holidays, when demand for one or another product will increase.
Earlier we wrote that the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reported which products will increase in price by up to 20 percent in the near future.
