DeepState analysts calculated that over the past month, the Russian Armed Forces captured 133 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory – this figure is comparable to April and June 2024, writes the NBN publication.
Also in March, a decline in the effectiveness of the “second army of the world” was recorded – compared to November, monthly losses of territory fell almost 6 times, and the Russian offensive slowed down.
However, this does not mean that the invaders have given up and are waiting for a “deal”. Putin's army has recently resumed attacks on several sections of the front. In particular, in the second half of March, the intensity of the Russian Armed Forces' offensives in the Pokrovsky direction began to increase, reaching the level of the end of last year.
The occupiers also have a reserve in the form of a group of troops operating in the Kursk region, and it is still unclear where they will be transferred or divided.
Despite the fatigue in the ranks of the defenders, the soldiers manage to minimize the successes of the Russians. Not everything is smooth for the enemy either: the Defense Forces take “liberators” prisoner, who undergo an analogue of basic combined arms training in 3-4 days.
Earlier, the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade reported how weather conditions affect the advance of Russian troops near Pokrovsk.
