As NBN reports with reference to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), in recent days the “second army of the world” has resorted to the tactics of “human waves”, trying to push the Ukrainian Defense Forces from the left bank of the Zherebets River (Liman direction).
In particular, the Russian occupation army is trying to expand its bridgehead northeast of Liman as part of a comprehensive effort aimed at creating favorable conditions for the capture of Borova and the aforementioned settlement in the coming months.
The “liberators” have already managed to advance northwest of Novolyubovka and southeast of Novy, approaching the southern outskirts of Katerinovka. In this direction, enemy infantry attacks have become more active, without the use of armored vehicles.
According to ISW analysts, the invaders will be able to use the bridgehead northeast of Liman to establish full control over the Luhansk region, which will allow the Kremlin to strengthen its negotiating positions.
