As reported by NBN with reference to the material from RBC-Ukraine, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys, made a statement that the Ukrainian government should consider 2030 as the final (last) date for joining the European Union.
Based on Budrys' words, Kyiv needs to set the above-described deadlines for itself and start counting down the “deadlines” for making the whole range of extremely important decisions. In addition, the Lithuanian authorities will help Ukraine with the implementation of reforms, since they intend to invest in Kyiv the best knowledge and experience gained during their own accession procedure to the EU.
The Lithuanian high-ranking official stressed that he continues to believe in Ukraine’s ability to effectively complete the process of European integration by 2030, as Ukrainians are committed to this process and are accordingly motivated.
