The story of 28-year-old military nurse Galina Fedyshyn, who was recently released from Russian captivity, is full of heroism and drama, writes WomanEL.
From early childhood, Galina decided to save lives, so she subsequently chose an important profession – medicine employee. Fedyshyn worked as a medic in the 36th Separate Marine Brigade. During the fighting, she was wounded and captured along with her military boyfriend during the exit from Azovstal in May 2022.

Galina’s beloved, Nikolai Gritsenyak was released from captivity faster than Fedyshyn. The ordeal for the lovers is over. On January 3, 2024, nurse Galina was returned to her native land during the prisoner exchange — the largest since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
Nikolai Gritsenyak immediately proposed marriage to his beloved. The commander of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade, Sergei Volynsky, announced the joyful event on Facebook.
Today I witnessed not just an engagement, but a real triumph of love! This love has survived trials that could break the strongest, but did not allow it to break you.
It should be noted , that the feeling and devotion of these Marines to each other have become symbols of invincible faith and hope.
