President Vladimir Zelensky signed a law reducing the conscription age, which is no longer 27 years old. The document was adopted on May 30, 2023, but since then the head of state has not signed it, writes WomanEL.
Now the response information has appeared on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada. The document states that after entry into force, the conscription age will be reduced from 27 to 25 years. This change will allow the mobilization of men liable for military service aged 25 and 26 years. The idea was initiated by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The conscription age is no longer 27 years old
The authors expect that the implementation of the law will normalize the issue of recruitment mobilization of the human reserve by registering for military service citizens who have reached the age of 25 while being registered as conscripts.
Now men liable for military service, fit and limited fit for health reasons, from 25 to 60 years without military service experience.
