Chef and pastry chef Lisa Glinskaya shared an appetizing and delicious recipe with her subscribers. She decided to cook lean cabbage rolls without meat and rice, writes WomanEL.
Friends, I have prepared a Lenten dish for you – cabbage rolls, but not ordinary ones, not with rice, but with one ingredient that is much healthier than rice, Lisa noted.

Ingredients:
- 200 g pearl barley;
- 400 g mushrooms;
- 2 onions;
- 1 carrot (large);
- 100 g tomato paste;
- salt (to taste);
- pepper (to taste);
- vegetable oil (for frying).
< li>dill;
Wash and soak the pearl grains overnight in cold water. Wash the mushrooms, cut into small pieces and fry in vegetable oil with salt and pepper.
Finely chop the onion, grate the carrots and fry in vegetable oil, add salt to taste. We set to cook pearl grains in a ratio of 1:3, that is, 200 g of grain and 600 ml of water. Add some salt to the water, cover with a lid and cook over low heat until tender.

We take Chinese cabbage, cut off a part at the root and carefully disassemble the leaves. We thoroughly wash the leaves, put them in a saucepan, pour boiling water over them, cover with a lid and leave for 10 minutes.
Mix pearl porridge with mushrooms and half of the fried carrots and onions. Mix. Add chopped dill and mix again. The stuffing for cabbage rolls is ready, leave the food until completely cooled.
Take the cabbage out of the water. Take a sheet, cut off a solid particle, turn it over and put the filling on the edge of the sheet, wrap it up.
Place the formed cabbage rolls into a baking dish or pan tightly next to each other. You can cook in the oven or simmer in a pan on the stove.
Mix the frying that remains with the tomato paste. Add warm water and stir. Pour the dressing over the cabbage rolls and place in a preheated oven at 185 degrees with convection for 40 minutes. We take the cabbage rolls out of the oven, wait until they cool a little and enjoy.
