The American label Light In The Attic Records is preparing to release a unique album of Ukrainian music under the title “Even the Forest Hums” (“Already Good: Ukrainian Sound Archives 1971–1996”), recognizing WomanEL. The project follows the Ukrainian music scene at the end of the twentieth century, most of which was created under the sole control of the Radyansky Union. Five rocks were worked on on the album, and the Ukrainian label Shukai Records, writer Vitaly Bardetsky, music producers David Mas, Mark McNeill and others came to fruition, reports Suspilne Kultura.
The album is the first comprehensive collection of Ukrainian music recorded before and after the collapse of the USSR. There are rare folk, rock, jazz and electronic compositions in the form of groups such as “Vodograi”, “Tsukor White Death” and “Sextet of Oleksandr Shapovalov”. The cover of the scarf is decorated with illustrations of the Ukrainian folk artist Maria Primachenko, which adds national identity and cultural significance to the album.
Vinyl is also revengeful A 20-page booklet with photographs of the artist and explanatory texts in Ukrainian and English. The CD version is supplemented with a 64-page book with bonus content.
Before the word, the album will go on sale on June 18, 2024, and part of the proceeds from its sale will be donated to the Kiev volunteer group “Livy Bereg”, which is engaged in the rehabilitation of regions affected by Russian aggression.< /p>
