The basis of Lewis Carroll's new daily tale “Alice in Behind the Looking Glass” at the Kiev Modern Ballet Theater was the music of the Ukrainian electronic composer Ivan Garkusha (John Hope). The ballet is a synthesis of ambience, electronics and instrumentalism, performances through the prism of contemporary choreography, writes WomanEL.
The author of the choreography and the director, soloist of the theater Katerina Kurman, infuses the artist with an inner light heroes through folding dance forms. The leading part is the artist of “Kiev Modern Ballet” Sofia Guseva. Danilo Vasilenko is working on the set design. The artist Dmytro Kuryata (“Carmen”, “The Little Prince”, “Women at the Minor”, “A Long Tribute”) is credited for costume design. The main concept of this work will be the contrast between everyday life and fantasy, where the idea is re-interpreted through a mixture of surrealism.
