Ukraine is beginning large-scale testing of 5G technology, which will become an important component in the development of mobile communications in the region. As stated by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhailo Fedorov, the 5G pilot project will be tested in two stages. The first stage will seem like a mess, the other – through the river after the first cob, write WomanEL.
The minister also emphasized that this is one of the key steps until the full launch of 5G in Ukraine, which is planned to be completed by 2030. The government of Ukraine praised the changes to the regulatory framework for the use of radio frequencies, which will speed up the process of testing 5G.
Decree to ensure greater flexibility for operators – 2100 MHz frequencies can now be victorious not just for 3G, but for 2G or 4G technologies. And the pinning of the 694–862 MHz frequencies for analogue and digital television broadcasting allows them to be used for mobile communication, ─ indicating Mikhailo Fedorov.
The project includes three places (and they themselves are unknown), where The feasibility of 5G with military equipment will be verified. This aspect is especially important for the safe operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
