The polar explorers also offer everyone who wants to make a charitable contribution of at least 500 hryvnias. Among those who donate more than 500 UAH, 5 unique Antarctic chevrons will be raffled off, which are a symbol of the station and the work of Ukrainian scientists in the harshest conditions on the planet.
Why is this important?
The initiative demonstrates the unity of Ukrainians even thousands of kilometers from their native land. The funds raised will go to the technical equipment of the Ukrainian military, which will help them more effectively perform combat missions. The Antarctic auction is not only a way to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also an opportunity to get a piece of Antarctica, which will become a unique symbol of charity and care.
Previously, the Ukrainian flag was raised in space during the first SpaceX Polaris Dawn tourist mission.
