Progressive metal band Dream Theater has released a video for their new single “A Broken Man.” This emotional 8-minute composition is dedicated to war veterans struggling with the consequences of combat experience, writes WomanEL.
The song talks about the difficulties of living with sleep disorders, nightmares, and insomnia. It contains real audio fragments of interviews with veterans who share their stories and experiences. The video conveys a difficult and at the same time inspiring mood, emphasizing the heroes' struggle with inner demons. The single is a special event for fans. It marks the return of drummer Mike Portnoy, who last participated in the recording of the album 16 years ago.
