On December 5, the Miss Ukraine 2024 beauty contest was held live in Kyiv for the first time since the start of the full-scale war. The main crown was won by 20-year-old Kyiv resident Maria Melnychenko, who will represent Ukraine at the international Miss World contest next year, writes WomanEL.
Maria is a fourth-year student at the State Tax University, where she is studying finance. She has been combining her studies with modeling for two years, is actively involved in sports, skiing and snowboarding, and also has 10 years of experience in ballroom dancing. The winner is known for her social activism – she supports charitable initiatives and helps raise funds for the military.

The final of the competition was attended by 18 participants who demonstrated themselves in four thematic performances: “Performance on Water”, “Pottery Universe”, “Light and Technology” and “Mirror Final”. The winner received the crown from the hands of “Miss Ukraine 2022” Sofia Shamiya.
The Ukrainian recently won one of the most important titles of the “Miss Planet 2024” competition.
