Among the objects that have received the status of national heritage, the Aprakos Gospel of 1707, printed in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, stands out. This copy from the collections of the Kharkiv Historical Museum named after M.F. Sumtsov is a unique example of Ukrainian Cyrillic book publishing. The large-format edition of 1707 is considered a masterpiece of 18th-century printing.

The work of one of the most famous artists in the world, Kazimir Malevich, has also been included in the State Register. “Suprematism-65” is a vivid example of Suprematism – a style that the artist founded in 1915. Born in Kyiv, Malevich identified himself as Ukrainian and often turned to national themes in his works. The artistic vision of the world and the formation of the artist's Suprematist creativity were shaped by the Ukrainian village where he spent his childhood and youth.

Another important object is the painting by Ilya Repin, which immortalizes the legendary history of the Zaporozhian Cossacks. Repin, who was born in Ukraine, devoted almost two decades to the creation of this work, exploring the life and traditions of the Zaporozhians. The painting became a symbol of freedom, equality and brotherhood.
The inclusion of these objects in the register emphasizes their significance for Ukrainian national identity and world art.
We also offer to watch the trailer for the biopic “Malevich” about the Ukrainian avant-garde artist.
