How much does a cup of espresso cost in Ukraine
By the end of 2024, the average The cost of espresso has increased to 31 hryvnia, which is three hryvnias more than in 2023. Compared to the beginning of a full-scale war, the price has almost doubled – from 19 hryvnias in 2021 to 33 hryvnias in December 2024.
This growth is a reflection of economic changes that are affecting the entire restaurant business. The cost of espresso depends on many factors: inflation, rising raw material costs, logistics, and overall purchasing power.
Where to drink the most expensive and cheapest coffee
The study found that espresso prices vary significantly depending on the region.
The most expensive espresso:
• Odessa region – 40 UAH (20% increase per year).
• Lviv region – 39 UAH.
• Volyn region – 37 UAH.
The cheapest espresso:
• Khmelnytskyi and Sumy regions – 28 UAH.
It is interesting that in the Kharkiv region the price of coffee remained unchanged – 34 UAH. But in the Vinnytsia region the cost of a cup increased by as much as 29% over the year, reaching 31 UAH.
