A 2-year-old Ukrainian woman set a record by swimming 25 meters

A 2-year-old girl from Odessa set a Ukrainian record by swimming 25 meters in a pool on her own. Emma Klochkova, who is only two years and four months old, became the youngest Ukrainian to overcome such a distance. Her achievement was recorded by the National Register of Records of Ukraine, writes WomanEL.

It took Emma 3 minutes and 29 seconds to set the record. According to the head of the National Register of Records, Lana Vetrova, the record became possible thanks to the hard work of trainer Ilona Garkun, who applied for registration of the achievement.

And it was bound to happen that 2-year-old Odessa girl Emma Klochkova got into a bad mood on the day of the record. And every woman knows: if you're not in the mood, it's better not to come. And so before the record, Emma's mom, dad, and grandmother were asked to stay out of sight, and even I tried not to make Emma's eyes hurt again. And only coach Ilona Garkun remained face to face with Emma to convince her that a bad mood can be washed away with water in the pool. After that, Emma jumped into the water, swam the entire lane of the adult pool on her own, and set a Ukrainian record. It was very touching – at that moment, everyone in the pool applauded Emma! Apparently, Emma's good mood returned, because she then swam this distance twice more on different lanes, Vetrova noted.

Children's swimming remains one of the most popular categories for setting records in Ukraine. Since 2018, six records have been recorded in this area, most of which belong to young Odessa residents. According to Vetrova, even during the war, parents find opportunities for the development of children, which inspires new achievements.

On the day of the record, Emma was not initially in the mood to swim. But after talking with the coach, she decided to try. The girl jumped into the water and independently crossed the adult pool lane. Her achievement caused a standing ovation from everyone present.

Emma Klochkova is recognized as the youngest child in Ukraine to swim a distance of 25 meters in a pool. The age of the Ukrainian record holder is 2 years and 4 months. The girl weighs 11 kg, and is 88 cm tall. It took her 3 minutes and 29 seconds to set the record (and almost an hour for preliminary negotiations with the coach). But Emma still refused to smile for the camera. Because let them not think that it is so easy with the stars,

shared Lana.

Emma Klochkova's record is not only an example of perseverance and skill, but also the result of teamwork between the coach, parents and the girl herself. Odesa once again confirmed its status as a leader in the field of early swimming.

Recently, Elina Svitolina beat the Russian tennis player and reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open.
