Hiding in Moscow
One of the most difficult periods in Maxim's life came in his early years, when he, along with his mother and little sister, was forced to flee to Moscow due to his mother's criminal liability.
We went to Moscow. My mother's friends helped us rent an apartment and we just lived there for many months. We hardly went out and there was no communication, then there were only letters. We didn't communicate with anyone, food was brought to us in this apartment. I was very bored. I remember I was just melting from the nausea that was there. The TV that you already hated. How can you make a child hate TV, but that's how it was,
Borodin admitted.
Mom in prison
The loss of his mother was a particularly painful part of his life. The woman ended up in prison, leaving his son and daughter without maternal support and care during the most important period of their formation.
As it turned out, the artist, his sister, and his mother returned to their hometown of Vilniansk. Maxim was 7-8 years old when his mother was first caught with drugs. The woman was convicted three times and served her sentence in prison.
Maxim and his sister were cared for by relatives, but their childhood was poor.
Working with a psychotherapist
To overcome the emotional burden of the past, Maxim Borodin turned to a psychotherapist. He admitted that this work on himself became one of the most important in his life.
I had several conversations with a psychologist at the time. I felt that I was in a very difficult psychological situation. There was another conversation and the psychologist told me via video call: “Turn to yourself, to little Maxim, to the child you see yourself as. Hug yourself and talk to yourself. Tell him that he is not alone now.” I did this for the first time in this number. I fell to the floor and just started howling like a dog. I started practicing this every day and now I talk to him normally, he knows that I am with him,
shared the singer.
When Maxim was 17 years old, his mother returned home from prison, they did not immediately find a common language, they did not communicate for a long time, because Borodin later moved to live and work in Kyiv. There he met his wife and started a family. He established a relationship with his mother only at the age of 28, when he gathered with his family after Easter in his hometown, but he felt that he missed his mother, she lived nearby at the time and he went to see her.
Recall that Maksym Borodin recently showed his daughter in a new video.
