One of the most legendary heavy metal bands of all time, Metallica, is preparing to delight its fans with something truly special, reports WomanEL. Imagine: you are at home, put on your Apple Vision Pro headset, and now you are standing in the middle of the crowd, feeling the thundering riffs of “Whiplas”, the soul-piercing chords of “One” and the pulsating energy of “Enter Sandman”. Metallica is releasing an exclusive concert recorded especially for Apple, according to the musicians' official website.
This unique project was born out of Metallica's M72 tour, when they rocked the stage in Mexico City. Three full-length performances were filmed on a custom-built stage that Apple equipped with 14 Immersive Video cameras. Stabilized lenses, tethered cameras, and even remote-controlled gadgets to capture James Hetfield's every move or Lars Ulrich's every punch. 180-degree video with high-resolution, spatial audio that gives you goosebumps — as if you were actually there, among the fans.
The recording will be free and will be available exclusively to Vision Pro owners on March 14, 2025. But even if you don't have this headset, in countries with official Apple Stores, fans will be able to book a Vision Pro demo and watch the concert absolutely free of charge.
By the way, for those who prefer to listen rather than watch, three songs from this performance in spatial audio will also appear on Apple Music.
Recall that earlier, Ukrainian military man Taras Stolyar impressed Metallica with his performance of their song.
