41-year-old Ukrainian artist Mykhailo Khoma, better known under the pseudonym DZIDZIO, shared with his Instagram followers an archive photo from 1996, reports WomanEL. The picture shows a very young guy, without his trademark beard and characteristic stage image. It was then, at the “Young Galicia” festival in Novoyavorivsk, that he won his first major award.
The singer admitted that the year before he didn't even make it to the second round, but that didn't break his faith in himself. Hard work, development, and the pursuit of his dream brought results – in 1996 he won the first prize.
This award gave me an understanding: working on yourself opens up faith in yourself. And this is victory,
the performer noted.
Along with the archive footage, Khoma also shared a video from that festival. He admitted that his friends found the recording and sent it to him.
