In early March, 79-year-old Canadian musician Neil Young and his band Chrome Hearts announced a concert in Kyiv, reports WomanEL. But the other day, the singer canceled the performance because he was unsure about safety.
We had a nice concert venue, not far from the shelter, but the volatile situation on the ground is too strong. I could not in good conscience take my team and instruments into that area. My apologies to everyone. Ukraine is a great country with a good leader. Glory to Ukraine!
says a message on Neil Young's official website.
As a reminder, Neil Young and the band Chrome Hearts planned to visit Ukraine before the start of the European tour “Love Earth”.
By the way, Young's wife, 64-year-old American actress Daryl Hannah, supported Ukrainians at the Oscars. The star began her speech with the words “Glory to Ukraine!”
