The importance of words of love

One of the most touching moments of the conversation is when Anna tells how she explained to her mother the importance of words of love.

See, do you know why? – I told her. – Have you ever told him that you love him? You’re a grandmother!” And I could see how it affected her. She even cried. Then she confessed: “My mother never told me that she loved me,” the actress shared.

This phrase was a moment of reflection for Anna. She realized that her mother grew up in a different environment, where displays of tenderness were not the norm. But did this mean that they did not love their children?

“I'm not waiting anymore, I'm giving”

With the birth of her children, the actress changed her perspective on her relationship with her mother.

“I'm no longer focusing on what I get, but on what I give,” she says.

Previously, Anna longed to hear important words from her mother, to receive more attention. But now she has become a mother herself and understands: the main thing is not to wait, but to give love.

“I shut my mother up”

Anna admits that she tried to change her mother, to make her be different.

I used to shut my mom up, honestly. She comes to visit, and I'm immediately like, “Why did you put on so much makeup? Why did you say that?” says the actress.

Anna explains that this is her way of taking her mother out of her usual environment.

My mother lives in a small town where everyone tries to be like everyone else. She says: “Anya, how old am I?” And I say to her: “67! This is a young age, and you talk like you’re 85!” – says Anya.

But she understands: it is impossible to change her mother by force. The main thing is to support her, show her another life option, but not force her.

How to change your relationship with your parents?

One of the things that annoys Anna the most is the habit of saving on herself, of giving up opportunities simply because it's “accepted.”

I say: “Mom, buy yourself something nice.” And she: “No, everyone is saving, and I will.” And it makes me really angry,” the star admitted.

Anna is sure that this attitude is a consequence of her upbringing. Since childhood, she was told: don’t stand out, be like everyone else. But it was the desire to break out of this system that helped her achieve success. As a child, Anna often heard critical remarks from her mother.

“I first heard the phrase “Actress of a burnt-out theater” from my mother,” she recalls.

Anna didn't know if her mother believed in her career. But perhaps that was what pushed her to fight for her place in the world. She doesn't hide that her path was not easy. She left home, not knowing if she would return. But today she is happy and grateful to her mother – even for the difficult lessons she learned from her.

Anna Sagaydachna doesn't give universal advice, but her story can be thought-provoking. She realized that you shouldn't wait for your parents to change. Instead, you should accept them as they are and simply give them your love.
