Minimum wages in European countries in 2025: spoiler – Ukraine in last place

The issue of the minimum wage in Europe remains relevant in 2025. Governments are trying to adapt it to the rising cost of living, but the difference between the East and the West remains significant, writes WomanEL with reference to Monitor info.

The minimum wage in European countries varies significantly:

  • Ukraine – 182.12 euros (the lowest figure in Europe);
  • Moldova – 284.82 euros;
  • Albania – 407.54 euros;
  • Bulgaria – 550.67 euros;
  • Poland – 1091.46 euros;
  • Belgium – 2070.48 euros;
  • Germany – 2161.00 euros;
  • Netherlands – 2,193.36 euros;
  • Ireland – 2281.50 euros;
  • Luxembourg – 2,637.79 euros (the highest figure).

22 out of 27 EU countries have a national minimum wage. The exceptions are Denmark, Italy, Austria, Finland and Sweden.

Also, for comparison, in the United States the federal minimum wage is €1,210 per month.
