The 25-year-old midfielder of the Luhansk “Zorya” football club, Volodymyr Bilotserkovets, has passed away. The cause of death has not been disclosed. “Today, at the age of 26, our player Volodymyr Bilotserkovets has passed away. We express our condolences to his family and loved ones. He will remain in our hearts as a professional and a kind, caring person. May his family find strength and patience,” the club said in a statement, reports Baltimore Chronicle, citing information published on the club’s social media page.
Volodymyr Bilotserkovets began his football career at Kharkiv’s “Metalist” and later played for “Zorya”, “Inhulets”, and Zaporizhzhia’s “Metalurh”. After returning to “Zorya” at the beginning of 2025, he managed to play 11 matches for the team, providing one assist. During his time at “Inhulets”, Bilotserkovets scored three goals in 33 appearances. At “Metalurh”, he recorded two goals and nine assists.
