Famous chef and TV host, Master Chef judge Hector Jimenez-Bravo, has publicly denied rumors accusing him of allegedly corrupting minors. He stressed that he has already consulted with lawyers and intends to defend his reputation in court. This was reported by the Baltimore Chronicle.
“I am now working with my lawyers. This is serious, not a joke. The person who spreads slander must be held accountable by law,” Jimenez-Bravo stated.
The TV host recalled that a wave of online hate against him started after the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, when he openly supported Ukraine and spoke about the war. The backlash intensified even more after he became an ambassador of the Achilles regiment together with commander Yuriy Fedorenko.
“When the war began, my family and I recorded many videos in support of Ukraine. Immediately, Russian bots started sending threats, insults, and warnings that things would go badly for me and my family. I thought that was the worst. But after I announced, together with commander Yuriy Fedorenko, that I became an ambassador of the Achilles regiment, the amount of hate grew even more,” he explained.
According to him, Russia uses not only rockets and drones as weapons, but also disinformation, aiming to discredit Ukrainians. Jimenez-Bravo emphasized that the only real content about him circulating online is a personal video he once recorded for a loved one.
He added that several years ago, unknown individuals already tried to blackmail him with this video, demanding $3,000. He refused to pay, considering the footage harmless to his reputation. Now, he said, the same people are back with fabricated screenshots of alleged conversations.
“I always write my messages in Ukrainian. If I don’t know a word, I use Google Translate. I can also write in English or Spanish. Everyone knows I have an accent, but grammar matters to me. That’s why all accusations about supposed child corruption are fake,” the host said.
Jimenez-Bravo thanked Ukrainians for their support and addressed those spreading slander: “See you in court.”
Recently, supposed private chats of Hector Jimenez-Bravo with underage boys began to circulate online. These leaks allegedly contained discussions about sexual preferences, along with a video where he flirted on camera. The chef confirmed the authenticity of only that personal video but dismissed all other content as fabricated.
The rumors, screenshots, and stories were spread by gossip blogger Bohdan Bespalov, based entirely on anonymous sources.
