Hollywood actor Dwayne Johnson, widely known as “The Rock,” surprised the public with a dramatic transformation at a recent event, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to Daily Mail. The actor, usually associated with a muscular and powerful physique, appeared on the red carpet in black classic trousers and a light blue shirt with a tropical print. His remarkable slimness attracted the most attention from the press and fans.
According to Daily Mail, Johnson lost an impressive 27 kilograms. This change was part of his preparation for the upcoming biographical drama “Unbroken,” in which he portrays the legendary mixed martial artist Mark Kerr. The actor also wore a wig and prosthetics to fully embody his character.
For Johnson, this transformation became a personal challenge, which he openly admitted. Additionally, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk appeared in the film, portraying the legendary MMA fighter from Kharkiv, Ihor Vovchanchyn. The character faced the main hero twice in the ring and lost both encounters. Scenes with Usyk were filmed immediately after his first fight against Tyson Fury.
The film is expected to be one of the most emotional in Johnson’s career. Fans have already called this project “The Rock’s most powerful dramatic work” and eagerly anticipate its premiere.
