Dani Alves will spend the next 4.5 years in prison.
Former football player Barcelona and Brazil Dani Alvessentenced to 4.5 years in prison in a rape case.

The investigation into the case was completed on November 14 , and the trial itself took place from February 5 to 7. The prosecutor's office demanded a seven-year sentence for Alves, with the maximum penalty in Spain for rape being 12 years.
On Tuesday, February 22, the court made its decision, sentencing the Brazilian to 4.5 years in prison.
However, the Brazilian still has the right to appeal to the High Court of Catalonia and then to the Supreme Court of Spain.
Recall that in January 2023, Alves was arrested on suspicion of sexual harassment. The incident occurred back on December 30, 2022 at a nightclub in Barcelona. The victim said that Alves forced her to have oral sex in the toilet, hit her and raped her.
The footballer himself first denied all accusations, and then stated that the sexual intercourse was consensual.
