The return of Vladislav Sirenko to the ring is postponed due to unexpected circumstances.
The fight of the Ukrainian heavyweight boxer Vladislav Sirenko with American boxer Deon Ronnie Gale was cancelled.
The six-round fight was supposed to take place on March 5 at the Texas Troubadour Theater in Nashville (USA). However, according to the Ukrainian, Gale was arrested by the police when he was heading to the arena. The reason remains unknown.
“The opponent was arrested before he arrived for the fight. Yes, this has never happened in my experience. But we will do the fight. A little later. We are still working on it.
There were a lot of problems with this fight. And everything was decided at the last moment. I didn’t know until the very end whether I would box or not. Only on the day of the fight at 14:00 did I find out for sure that the fight would not take place,” Sirenko said in vRINGe comments.
Note that Sirenko last entered the ring back in December 2021, when he defended the WBC Asia heavyweight championship belt in a fight against another Ukrainian Andrey Rudenko.
In 29-year-old Vladislav has a track record of 19 victories (16 by knockout) in 19 professional fights.
Recall that in the summer of 2022, Sirenko sold the championship belt for the sake of orphans whose mother was killed by Russian occupiers .
