The best result among Ukrainians was shown by Yulia Dzhima, who finished 27th.
On Saturday, March 16, at the final stage of the Biathlon World Cup 2023/24 in Canadian Canmore, the women's pursuit race took place.
Ukraine was represented in it by Yulia Jima (started as a result of the sprint 22nd), Irina Petrenko (33rd), Kristina Dmitrenko (41st) and Anastasia Merkushina (50th).
The best result among Ukrainian women in the pursuit was shown by Jima, who finished 27th. Besides her, Dmitrenko also entered the scoring zone in 30th place. Merkushina and Petrenko finished the race 45th and 47th, respectively.
Italian Lisa Vittozzi won the pursuit race, having previously triumphed in the sprint. Frenchwoman Lou Jeanmonnot took second place, and third place went to her compatriot Justine Brézat-Boucher.
Thanks to her triumph in the pursuit, Vittozzi moved into first place in the overall standings, beating Norway's Ingrid-Landmark Tandrevold by 61 points. The winner of the Big Crystal Globe will be determined based on the results of the mass start, which will take place on Sunday, March 17.
