Rukh Defender Bohdan Slyubyk is applying for a prestigious award.
The defender of the Lviv “Rukh” Bohdan Slyubyk was included in the list of nominees for the Golden Boy award, which is awarded the best young footballer in Europe under the age of 21.
The 20-year-old Ukrainian footballer was included in the list of top 100 candidates for the award. Bogdan received an index of 62.6 in the Golden Boy Football Benchmark rating, where he ranks 61st.
In addition to Slyubik, another UPL representative was in the Golden Boy top 100 rating – Shakhtar forward Neverton, who is located in 69th position.
This season Slyubik played 24 matches for Rukh in all tournaments, scoring two goals.
The leader in the ranking of candidates for the Golden Boy award is 16- Barcelona's summer winger Lamin Yamal. The top 5 also includes Joao Neves (Benfica), Alejandro Garnacho (Manchester United), Warren Zaire-Emery (PSG) and Lenny Yoro (Lille).
Remember, in the past This year, the Golden Boy award was received by Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham. Among the contenders for the award were three Ukrainians: goalkeepers Pavel Isenko and Alexander Saputin, as well as defender Maxim Dyachuk.
