The Ukrainian youth football team (U-19)played a draw with Northern Ireland in the first round of the final part of Euro 2024.
The match of the “blue-yellows” against the hosts of the tournament ended without any goals scored – 0:0.
During the meeting, Dmitry Mikhailenko’s team made much more shots than the opponent, but they failed to score at least one goal.

In another match of the opening round of Group A, the Italian team beat Norway with a score of 2:1.
In the second round, Ukraine will play with Norway, and Italy will meet with Northern Ireland . Both matches will take place on July 18.
The two best teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals. The current continental championship is also a UEFA selection for the 2025 World Cup (U-20). The final match of the 2024 European Championship (U-19) will take place on July 28.
The Ukrainian U-19 national team is taking part in the European Championship for the sixth time. In this age category, the “blue-yellows” managed to overcome the Euro group stage three times, and their best result was victory at the tournament in 2009.
