The Ukrainian beach soccer teambecame the winner of the Euroleague 2024 in division B.
In the final match of the tournament, which took place in Georgian Batumi, the “blue-yellows” defeated the UAE team with a score of 4:2.
Already in the first minute of the match, Andrei Pashko put the Ukrainians ahead. In the 8th minute, the opponents got even – Omar Musab scored, and a minute later Yusif Humaid scored the second goal against our team.
The opponents went into the first break with the score tied – in the 10th minute Oleg scored an accurate shot Zborovsky.
In the second 12 minutes, the Ukrainian team took the lead through the efforts of Dmitry Voitenko, who scored in the 20th minute of the match. And in the third period, Oleg Shchitnik put an end to the match in the last seconds.
In the match for third place, the hosts of the tournament, the Georgian team, beat Latvia (5:2).
We would like to add that on the way to In the playoffs, the Ukrainians crushingly won all three matches of the group stage: against Lebanon (6:1), Saudi Arabia (6:1) and the UAE (5:2). In the semi-finals, Nikolai Kostenko's team defeated Latvia with a score of 4:0.
Where the “blue-yellows” will play in the next Euroleague season remains unknown. Previously, our team consistently played in the elite division, including becoming champion in 2016.
The Ukrainian team lost its place in Division A as a result of a boycott of the competition in 2023 due to the participation of the Belarusian team.
