Dmytro Lovchynsky has finished competing at the Games in Paris.
Ukrainian boxer Dmytro Lovchynsky failed to advance to the second round of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Already in his opening fight in the over 92 kg weight category, the Ukrainian failed to cope with Australian Teremoana Junior.
In the first round, Lovchinsky was knocked down twice, and then his opponent knocked him out.
The head coach of the Ukrainian boxing team, Dmitry Sosnovsky, has already commented on Lovchinsky's defeat at the start of the 2024 Olympics.
“Probably. He is large in size, has different anthropometry, has a good front hand, and couldn't get close to him. He started making mistakes somewhere, dropped his hands, and at that time he started taking some pretty heavy blows. “It is as it is,” Suspilne Sport quotes Sosnovsky as saying.
Let us add that Ukraine will be represented at the Games in Paris by two more boxers: Oleksandr Khizhnyak and Ayder Abduraimov.
Let us recall that the Games in Paris will last until August 11. Ukraine is represented at the XXXIII Summer Olympics by 140 athletes who compete in 23 sports. So far, the “blue-yellow” have not won any medals.
