On this day, 11 Ukrainian athletes will compete in the Olympics, competing for five medals.
The “blue-yellows” are aiming for awards in cycling (Anatoly Budyak), artistic gymnastics (Ilya Kovtun, Oleg Vernyaev), team sabre fencing (Olga Kharlan, Alina Komashchuk, Elena Kravatskaya, Yulia Bakastova) and triple jump (Marina Bekh-Romanchuk).
In addition, Mykhailo Romanchuk was supposed to swim in the 1500-meter freestyle qualification, where he won the silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. However, the Ukrainian withdrew due to illness and prematurely ended his performance at the Games in Paris.

Ukraine is represented at the XXXIII Summer Olympics by 140 athletes who compete in 23 sports.
The “blue-yellows” have already won two medals: Olga Kharlan won “bronze” in sabre fencing, and Serhiy Kulish won “silver” in shooting.
Another medal of the 2024 Olympics, at least a bronze one, was guaranteed by Oleksandr Khizhnyak, who reached the semi-finals of the boxing tournament.
