Ukrainians have already won six awards at the Paris Games.
The 2024 Summer Olympics are taking place in Paris from July 26 to August 11. Together with our partner Favbet, we are following and rooting for the Ukrainian Olympic team.
Ukraine is represented at the XXXIII Summer Olympics by 140 athletes who compete in 23 sports.
We tell you which of the Ukrainian athletes won awards at the 2024 Olympics and what amounts of money they will receive from the state for their success.
For winning gold at the 2024 Olympics, our athletes will receive 125 thousand dollars. The same amount was at the previous Summer Olympics in 2020 in Tokyo.
But the financial reward for silver and bronze has increased. For second place on the podium in Paris, Ukrainians will earn 100 thousand dollars (was 80 thousand dollars), and for the third step – 80 thousand dollars (was 55 thousand dollars).

“Gold”:
- Olga Kharlan, Elena Kravatska, Alina Komashchuk and Yulia Bakastova (sabre fencing, team championship)
- Yaroslava Mahuchikh (athletics, high jump)
“Silver”:
- Serhiy Kulish (bullet shooting, rifle shooting from three positions at a distance of 50 meters)
“Bronze”:
- Olga Kharlan (sabre fencing, individual championship)
- Iryna Gerashchenko (athletics, high jump)
- Mikhail Kokhan (athletics, hammer throw)
A total of 329 sets of medals in 32 sports will be contested at the 2024 Olympics.
Ukraine is represented by the smallest number of athletes in its history at the Olympic Games. Before this, the anti-record (155 athletes) was at the 2020 Games, which were held in 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
At the 2020 Olympics, the Ukrainian team won 19 awards: one gold, six silver and 12 bronze. With this result, the “blue-yellows” took 44th place in the medal standings.
