On Wednesday, August 28, the draw for the 1/8 finals of the Ukrainian Cup of the 2024/25 season took place in the capital's Football House.
The 1/8 finals will feature 16 teams – eight winners of the third preliminary stage and eight UPL teams with the highest rating based on the results of last season.
It is from this stage that the giants of domestic football enter the fight – Dynamo Kyiv and Shakhtar Donetsk.

The current holder of the Ukrainian Cup is Shakhtar. In the final match of the 2023/24 season tournament, the Donetsk club defeated Poltava's Vorskla with a score of 2:1.
The Miners are the record holders for the number of national Cups won. By winning their 14th Ukrainian Cup, Shakhtar beat Dynamo, which has won this trophy 13 times.
