The Ukrainian national team is competing in Group C with Argentina, Afghanistan and Angola.
From September 14 to October 6, Uzbekistan is hosting the 2024 Futsal World Cup.
24 teams are taking part in the tournament, including the Ukrainian national team, which, following the draw, ended up in Group C, where its opponents will be Argentina, Afghanistan and Angola.
The two best teams from each group will advance to the 1/8 finals, as well as four of the six teams that take third place in their quartets.
The Ukrainian national team will play in the Futsal World Cup for the sixth time in history. The best result of the “blue-yellows” was fourth place in the debut tournament for our team in 1996.
At the 2004 and 2008 World Cups, the Ukrainian national team stopped in the 2nd group round (top 8), in 2012 it reached the quarter-finals, and in 2016 it was eliminated in the 1/8 finals.
It should be noted that the current world and European champions in futsal are the Portuguese, whom the Ukrainian national team defeatedin a friendly match before the 2024 World Cup.
