Ukrainian boxing champion Arkady Kartsan has died at the age of 25.
The sad news was reported by the Boxing Federation of Ukraine.
It is noted that the boxer was in a coma for three days. On September 17, his heart stopped. The exact cause of death has not been reported.
Kartsan is an international master of sports in boxing, multiple champion of Ukraine, winner of many international top-class tournaments, and member of the Ukrainian national boxing team.
He represented Ukraine at the 2023 European Games, competed for the Khmelnytsky region in domestic competitions, and represented the Avangard sports club.
In 2023, Kartsan became the Ukrainian boxing champion in the 92 kg category.
Earlier it was reported that former Ukrainian national boxer Denis Yashchuk died in the war with Russian occupiers.
