The Roman club decided to part ways with the Italian specialist.
Italian Roma fired Daniele De Rossi from the post of head coach
“The club's decision was made in the interests of the team, in order to resume the desired path as soon as possible,” the official statement of the “wolves” said.
De Rossi headed “Roma” in January 2024 after the dismissal of Jose Mourinho. Under the leadership of the 41-year-old Italian specialist, the Romans took sixth place in Serie A and reached the semi-finals of the Europa League.
This season, Roma, whose colors have been defended by Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbyk since the summer, have not won a single one of four matches in the Italian championship. With three points, the “wolves” are in 16th place in the standings.
In the last match, Roma, with the debut goal of Dovbyk, missed the victory over Genoa (1:1) of Ukrainian midfielder Ruslan Malinovsky.
Who will replace De Rossi at the helm of the Roman club is still unknown. In the next round of Serie A, Dovbyk's team will host Udinese on September 22.
