Daniil Voevodkin wins ticket to elite mixed martial arts promotion.
Ukrainian MMA fighter Daniil Voevodkin defeated American Bailey Schoonfelder at UFC President Dana White's Contender Series.
The 24-year-old Ukrainian heavyweight defeated his opponent in less than 90 seconds. Already in the first round, Daniil knocked Schoonfelder down with a powerful blow, and then performed a choke, as a result of which the American gave up.
Thanks to this victory, Voevodkin received a contract with the elite mixed martial arts promotion UFC.

Voevodkin is an eight-time Ukrainian champion in Kyokushin karate, European champion in Kyokushin karate, vice-champion of Europe among professionals in Thai boxing and vice-champion of Ukraine in combat sambo. Daniil also won the national championship in hand-to-hand combat and professional kickboxing.
Voevodkin's record includes seven victories in seven fights in mixed martial arts. Previously, he fought only in domestic promotions, and won all fights ahead of schedule.
