The Eagles went into the break with a minimal advantage in the score thanks to a goal by Marc Guehi in the 10th minute of the match.
But in the second half, the Toffees made a comeback, scoring twice within seven minutes. Dwight McNeil scored twice, scoring in the 47th and 54th minutes.
Ukrainian defender Vitaliy Mykolenko returned to the Everton starting lineup after an illness and played the entire match.
