Ivan Hasek considers the draw against the “blue-yellows” to be fair.
Head coach of the Czech national team Ivan Hasek summed up the match 4th round of the group stage of the 2024/25 Nations League with Ukraine.
A tense meeting in Wroclaw, Poland, ended in a draw 1:1. The Czech coach said that he considered the draw to be fair, but was also outraged by the penalty awarded to his team.
“I think a draw is a fair result of today's match. Although sometimes it seemed to us that we deserved to win. A tough match, very intense, I think we deserved one point, considering that we played the favorite. Penalty? So far I have only seen a photo. I think that awarding such penalties is harmful to football,” the official UAF website quotes Hasek as saying.
After four rounds, the Czech Republic with 7 points ranks first in Group B1. Georgia and Albania are in second and third place, respectively, with 6 points each. Ukraine with 4 points closes the quartet.
