Donetsk “Shakhtar” defeated Luhansk “Zorya” in the match of the 1/8 finals of the Ukrainian Cup of the 2024/25 season. The match at the “Arena Lviv” ended with a score of 1:0.
The only goal in this game was scored by the Miners in the 21st minute – Lassina Traore shot at the opponent’s goal in the center of the penalty area after a pass from the right flank from Pedrinho.

In the second half, Luhansk was left short-handed – in the 80th minute, Gabriel Esquinha received a direct red card for a rough foul against Artem Bondarenko.
