Donetsk Shakhtar beat Swiss Young Boys in the fourth round match of the UEFA Youth League. The match in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, ended with a score of 3:2.
The Swiss team opened the scoring in the 11th minute of the match – Felix Tsimba converted a penalty.
The Miners responded with three goals at once, scored before the break. In the 29th minute, Viktor Tsukanov tied the score, and then in the 35th and 43rd minutes, Yegor Kostyuk and Vladislav Tyutyunov scored, respectively.
In the second half, Young Boys managed to reduce the gap in the score – in the 82nd minute, Donetsk defender Alexander Bashmarin cut the ball into his own goal. But this did not prevent Alexey Belik's charges from holding on to the victory.
For the Miners' youth team, this is already the third victory in the tournament. Before that, Shakhtar U-19 won against Bologna (4:3), lost to Atalanta (0:3) and sensationally won against Arsenal (1:0).
Now Shakhtar U-19 with 9 points has risen to fifth place in the overall standings of the UEFA Youth League.
In the next round, the young miners will play away against the Dutch PSV on November 27.
