Eder Militao has suffered a torn cruciate ligament in his knee.
Real Madrid defender Eder Militao suffered a serious injury during the home match of the 13th round of the Spanish La Liga against Osasuna.
According to the official website of the “Royal Club”, the 26-year-old Brazilian was diagnosed with a complete rupture of the cruciate ligament knee.
It is also noted that Militao has a meniscus injury in both legs. He will undergo surgery in the coming days.
This is not the first serious injury in the Brazilian's career. In August 2023, he also tore his cruciate ligaments and returned to the field only in April 2024.
Militao was substituted in the 30th minute of the match against Osasuna, in which the Madrid club won a crushing victory with a score of 4:0. In this match, the Ukrainian goalkeeper of the “creamy” Andriy Lunin made an assist.
After this victory, “Real” (27 points) continues to occupy second place in La Liga and has reduced the gap with the leader “Barcelona” to six points.
In the next round of the Spanish championship, which is scheduled after the international break, “Real” will play “Leganes” away on November 24.
