Ukrainian goalkeeper of Real Madrid was one of the contenders for the Lev Yashin Trophy.
The results of the voting for the Lev Yashin Trophy, the award for the best goalkeeper of 2024 according to the authoritative France Football magazine, have become known.
The winner of the nomination for the second time in a row was Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez. While Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, a Ukrainian,took third place in the voting.

Last season, Lunin played 31 matches for Real Madrid in all tournaments, conceding 32 goals and keeping 12 clean sheets. Together with the Madrid club, Andrey won the Champions League and the Spanish championship.
The 2024 Ballon d'Or award ceremony took place on October 28 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. The award for the best footballer in the world in 2024 was received by the Spanish midfielder of Manchester City Rodri.
