The Ukraine U-19 youth football team lost to their peers from Kazakhstan in the first match of the mini-tournament of the Euro 2025 qualification round. The match in the Dutch city of Assen ended in a defeat for the “blue-yellows” with a score of 1:2.
Tamerlan Agimanov scored twice for the Kazakh team, scoring goals in the 9th and 35th minutes.
Dmitry Mykhailenko's team managed to respond with only one effective strike – Matvey Ponomarenko converted a penalty in the 62nd minute.

After the defeat by Kazakhstan, the “blue-yellows” will also play against Slovenia (November 16) and the Netherlands (November 19).
The top two teams from each group of the qualifying round and the best third of 13 quartets will advance to the elite round of the Euro 2025 selection.
Recall that the Ukrainian U-19 team is the current semi-finalist of the continental championship. At Euro 2024, Mykhailenko's team stopped one step away from the final, suffering a minimal defeat from the French.
