The England team thrashed the Ireland team in the home match of the final 6th round of the group stage of the 2024/25 Nations League season. The match at Wembley Stadium in London ended with a score of 5:0.
All the goals in this match were scored in the second half. In the 51st minute, the Irish were left with one man down – Liam Scales earned a second yellow card and was sent off.

Thanks to this victory, England (15 points) won Group B2 and returned to the elite division of the Nations League. The Three Lions overtook Greece (15 points) on the strength of their head-to-head record, which beat Finland (2:0) in a parallel away match to take second place.
Thus, the Greeks will take part in the playoffs for the right to advance to the elite. Ireland (6 points) will play in the transitional matches for the right to remain in League B. Finland (0 points) was relegated to Division C.
