Artem Milevskyi, Alexander Aliyev and others expressed their disdain for the former captain of the Ukrainian national team.
On Monday, November 18, it became known that the former captain and record holder for the number of matches for the Ukrainian national team Anatoly Tymoshchuk won a lawsuit against the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF), which had previously erased him from the history of Ukrainian football.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausannegranted Tymoshchuk's appeal and lifted the sanctions that the UAF applied to him in March 2022, when it stripped him of all titles, awards, honorary titles, coaching license, removed him from the official register of national teams and banned him for life from football activities in Ukraine.
Many famous Ukrainian football players, including his former teammates in the national team, have already responded to the shameful CAS decision regarding Tymoshchuk. Their words are quoted by Sport-express.ua.
Former Dynamo and Ukrainian national team striker Artem Milevskiy
“Tymoshchuk is just a dick. I have nothing to say about him. I never communicated closely with him, even when I was in the national team. He was constantly in contact with Levchenko and other guys, but not with me and Aliyev. As it turned out, our intuition was right.
How did Tymoshchuk behave in the national team? He put on airs, like he was a “very good footballer”. But I never let him get close to me. I think Tymoshchuk will never return to Ukraine. Aliyich will definitely give him a side kick,” said Milevskiy.
Former Dynamo and Ukrainian national team midfielder Oleksandr Aliyev
“We have a UAF president, let him think about what to do next. My opinion is that nothing can help Tymoshchuk, but I do not welcome this decision by Lausanne. He does not deserve anything! Not even for his name to be remembered here.
Tymoshchuk will never come to Ukraine. He is a piss-stained, loopy scarecrow. And even if he does come, you know what the people will do to him, including me. We will tear him to pieces! I am sure that this shit-stained scarecrow will never come here in his life,” Aliyev said.
Former Shakhtar, Dnipro and Ukrainian national team defender Artem Fedetsky
“Forget about this jackal already. He won the case? Well, then let him go, or better yet, let him go. Let him enjoy his awards. Tymoshchuk simply satisfied his ambitions, which no one needs. He is a lost man who does not need to be remembered at all. He has long since shown that he is not Ukrainian.
Why did Lausanne side with Tymoshchuk? They probably have some criteria by which they evaluate the situation, despite what is happening in our country. But one thing is clear for Ukraine: Tymoshchuk is a traitor. That's it. And there is no need to advertise him anymore. Bad advertising is also advertising. I even feel disgusted to remember this man. He will no longer be in Ukraine. Let him follow the Russian ship,” Fedetsky said.
Former Karpaty and Minaj midfielder Mykhailo Kopolovets
“Lausanne doesn't care that we are at war, they approach the issue from a professional point of view, that if he won these trophies, then they belong to him. But this is a formality. The UAF stripped him of all his regalia so that he would see that the entire Ukrainian people despise him. For us, Tymoshchuk is a traitor, and the UAF wanted to show that he is not worthy of these awards.
And the fact that he won the case there doesn't interest us anymore. Tymoshchuk is a nobody for us. His awards have no value for us in his person. Probably, Tymoshchuk wanted to prove something to us, but he only proved one thing – that he is a fucking bastard.
He pinned blue and yellow ribbons on himself, but in his soul he was a rotten person without any values. Tomorrow he will abandon the Russians, and the day after tomorrow someone else. We don't need such people, it's good that he got out of here. There is no way back for him,” Kopolovets said.
Former coach of Dynamo and the Ukrainian national team Jozsef Sabo
“To hell with Lausanne, but I want to ask Tymoshchuk: “What will this give you? So you won, so what next?” He is not accepted in Ukraine. Maybe he thinks that they will write something on his monument. Tymoshchuk was born in Ukraine, which Russian troops bomb every day, killing our people, and he continues to work in a terrorist country.
What can I say if he doesn't even think about his children from his first wife, he forgot about them and doesn't help. How can he go against his children, against his blood? I don't understand it. The war will end, his children will study history and understand that their father betrayed his homeland. Tymoshchuk simply has no brains! He will never return to Ukraine. Mankurt! “, – said Sabo.
It should be noted that after the start of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, Tymoshchuk did not condemn the actions of the aggressor state in any way and continues to work on the coaching staff of St. Petersburg's Zenit.
Recall that Tymoshchuk was the record holder for the number of matches played for the Ukrainian national team – 144 matches in the blue and yellow jersey.
In January 2023, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine imposed personal sanctions against Tymoshchuk for a period of 10 years. He was banned from entering Ukraine. He was also stripped of all state awards, does not have the right to receive land plots as property, and all his assets – finances, movable and immovable property – were blocked.
In September 2024, Tymoshchuk donated a Zenit jersey with his autograph to auction to help the Kursk region, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces are currently conducting an operation.
