On Tuesday, November 19, the Ukrainian national team defeated the Albania team (2:1) in the match of the last 6th round of the group round of the League of Nations of the 2024/25 season,
Thanks to this, the “blue-yellows” with 8 points took second place in their quartet of Division B and advanced to the playoffs for the right to move up a class.
The Czech Republic won the group (11 points), which immediately rose to the elite division of the League of Nations. Georgia (7 points) finished third and will compete in the playoffs to retain their place in Division B. Albania (7 points) finished last and was relegated to Division C.
Now the Ukrainian team will face playoff matches to reach the elite of the League of Nations. The opponent of Serhiy Rebrov's team will be one of the teams that finished third in the groups of Division A: Scotland, Belgium, Hungary or Serbia.
The draw will take place on Friday, November 22. The playoff matches themselves will be held on March 20 and 23, 2025.
The winner of the two-match confrontation will receive a place in League A, and the losing team will remain in League B.
